Privacy Policy

Frequency Civilization ("we") cares about your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect on this website (frequency-civilization.com), why we collect it, how we use and store it, and your rights.

What we collect

(1) Test data: your answers and scores. Until you leave an email, this data is stored anonymously and used only for statistics and improving the system. (2) Contact data: if you choose to unlock the full reading or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email and an optional nickname. (3) Technical data: the referring page and basic browser information, used to understand where visitors come from. (4) Anonymous feedback from the mini game: the choices and messages you leave in the “Which star do you set out from?” game contain no name or contact details and are used only to improve the game. Messages may appear on the game page only after review. We do not collect your name, phone number, address or other personal data.

How we use it

Your email is used to send you a summary of your results and the newsletters and event news you agreed to receive. Test data is used, in aggregated form, to validate and improve the system. The Frequency Grid on this site only shows how many people are in each combination, never anyone's answers or personal data. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties, except where the law requires it.

Storage and security

Data is stored with Supabase, a cloud database service, under access controls: the website can only write data and cannot read any stored personal data. Our analytics tool (Google Analytics) only collects anonymized usage statistics.

Your rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, ask for it to be completed or corrected, ask us to stop collecting, processing or using it, and ask for it to be deleted. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can write to frequency.civilization@gmail.com at any time to exercise these rights. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your test progress and results, your Daily Glow record and pairing links from friends. That data stays on your own device. Google Analytics may use cookies for anonymous traffic statistics.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a significant way, we will post it on this page and update the "last updated" date. Continuing to use this website means you accept the updated policy.
